Cascade Clamp - Established in Portland, Oregon in 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company started as a small machine shop employing only four people. Overall sales for that initial year amounted to about 60 thousand dollars. The very first recorded sales revenues involved the machining and assembly of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and various parts. Through five years of operation, the business had stretched to 40 workers and their yearly sales volume had increased to $330,000. Now, Cascade is among the leading international manufacturers within the material handling industry.

Production and design of the company's original hydraulic cylinder paved the way in Cascade's aggressive pursuit of better business possibilities. Over the past 60 years, the material handling trade has grown into a very sophisticated field and Cascade has proudly played a part on this progress. Cascade at the moment continues to develop as the leader provider of forklift accessories and different related products. The business feels confident in their ability to be able to continue to lead the way in the business by understanding buyer's requirements in the future and remaining competitive in the international market.

During the 1950's, Cascade began to make, design, and promote its hydraulic attachments. A new facility was built in the year 1956, in order to house all of the plant operations and offices in Portland, Oregon, which is still the company's current center of operations. After fifteen years of business, total staff reached 180 workers and sales had reached almost two million three hundred thousand dollars.

A second production plant was built in 1959 in Springfield, Portland. nineteen sixty marked Cascade's initial move into the international world of the material handling industry when the company recognized interest in the Netherlands, England, and Australia.

The business altered its name to Cascade Corporation in the year 1964. In the year 1965, Cascade went public with an initial offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. The company has expanded its production plants within the United States with places in Warner Robins, Georgia, Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Portland. Cascade products are made internationally due to a lot of subsidiary operations. In the year 1944, a brand new facility was completed in Almere, the Netherlands which is Cascade's European headquarters. This plant is built to be the ultimate customer support centre.

Cascade further expanded their product base in the year 1996 and 1997 subsequent to acquiring five companies, which included the Kenhar Corporation, the global best in blades.
